My lightweight champion

Heaven looks bright,
My kite takes flight.
Aims for the skies,
With zealous eyes.

Looks a little frail,
Despite its long tail.

Higher the kite goes,
As far as I chose.

In its flight a stud,
Goes where I said.
Wind tries to whack,
But I have its back.
Dances in the air,
With such a flair
.
Envious of the birds,
Mumbles angry words.

Makes a fluttering noise,
Though it got no voice.
Wants to chase the crow,
So wants me to let it go.
Tries to beat the plane,
How I wish it were sane.
Fearless like the Superman,
Kissing clouds its big plan.
Flying without a companion,
Is my lightweight champion.

  1. A fascinating lonesome lightweight.
Love how you flew the kite right down to the last detail
Your zest for words, but not only that, the preparation to give it form is so admirable.
This champion so made me smile

  2. Ah, what a delight to read of this kite’s flight! I really enjoyed this Vignesh, I was envisioning every word and that my friend is exactly what a writer/poet should do 👏👏👏👏👏
